THE PIRATONES – www.facebook.com/thepiratones

Kicking things off we have The Piratones. Purveyors of rhythmic, bass-heavy backbones driven by a live horn section and vocal trio, The Piratones deliver soulful sounds amongst a grounded blend of dub, reggae, ska, jungle and hip hop.

MANUSHKA – facebook.com/manushkasounds

Manushka are a fine example of the ever-present diversity of southwest sound. Boasting an array of live instruments including tuba, trombone, flute, accordion, synth bass and banjo, this eclectic band combine Balkan, Gypsy, ska and reggae sounds to create something that is truly unique. Their upbeat vibes never fail to get the dance floor going.

ONSET – www.facebook.com/onsetdispatch

Once the bands have well and truly warmed you up, it’s time to crack out the drum and bass. Onset will take to the decks with Ydott blessing the mic. Fresh on the Bristol scene, Onset manages Dispatch Recordings and has both the selection and the skills to keep things bouncing.

EXPOSURE & CARASEL – facebook.com/exposurednb

Label boss Exposure, on a 3 turntable and 2 CDJ deck setup, will play the first drum and bass set of 2016. Expect fast-paced mixing and tune selection that will take you on a journey through the whole D&B spectrum, mixing the old and new with forthcoming label releases.

Carasel, a Bristol MC who regularly hosts with the likes of Andy C and S.P.Y. at festivals and clubs all round the world is a true professional. This man knows hype!

SPECIAL GUEST – (to be announced very soon!)

We can’t let the secret out just yet but we can guarantee that the 90 min set laid down by this guy will be one to remember!

COMMIX & MC SENSE- www.facebook.com/commixmusic

We’re hyped to have Commix in Bristol for the first time in ages. He’s been busy working on new album material for Metalheadz and this can only be good news as classic tracks like ‘Be True’ and ‘How You Gonna Feel’ from his album ‘Call To Mind’ stand the test of time. Not only a master craftsman in the studio, but highly regarded as a talented DJ, Commix makes use of the multi deck setup to lay down a serious set. MC Sense will join him on the mic.

DESPICABLE YOUTH – www.facebook.com/DespicableYouth

Bringing the drum and bass to a close in the back room we’ve got Despicable Youth, two fellas living and working on music together in Bristol. These guys are set for big things. With releases already on Hospital and receiving Radio 1 airplay, their latest productions and collaborations with Exposure are due for release on A R Audio in 2016.

In the bar:

Two of Bristol’s busiest DJs, Danny K and Mr Trout get the atmosphere going in the bar with their top selection of funk and breaks. These two know how to read the crowd. Their sets are always full of surprises and their mixing is always on point. Guaranteed to get you groovin’.

These seasoned ravers know how to party. Come get down with this gang of glittery, glamorous guys and gals who go B2B on the decks and collectively set the dancefloor on fire. Headed up by Bristol DJs Midas and Papamoomin, every cog in the Dutty Duzun machine knows what to do to make the people dance. Soul, reggae, disco, dancehall, garage, grime, jungle, hip hop, house…. As long as it’s quality, anything goes.

MILLION WAY – facebook.com/millionwaylive

A turbo-charged live electronic dance outfit, fuelled by heavy funk, and delivered with a strong dose of disco, Million Way is doing an exclusive DJ set. Super-tight drums and dexterous bass underpin an epic soundtrack of arcade inspired techno, house and electro. Their highly contagious live show is both melodically elating and face-scrunchingly filthy. Their exuberant antics and genuine love of the moment have made the band stand out amongst many of the scene’s heavyweights, prompting comparisons to the likes of Daft Punk, Booka Shade and Justice.
